Welcome

On December 15, 2006 the Governor's Energy Policy Council submitted to Governor Sonny Perdue the first comprehensive State Energy Strategy for Georgia. The final Strategy represents the vision and hard work of the 22 members of the Governor's Energy Policy Council, the hundreds of members of the public who provided input, and the staff of several State agencies that helped to draft it. It offers a practical approach toward an energy future for Georgia characterized by affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy.

This site was designed to help the Georgia Environmental Facilities Authority, Division of Energy Resources (GEFA) solicit and compile public input and share information on the development of a comprehensive energy strategy for Georgia.
